Flying the fundraising flag for sports club, Bracknell RFC boost fundraising pot!

Flying the fundraising flag for sports club, Bracknell RFC recently tweeted us to let us know how their recent EcoKids collection would be helping them.

Bracknell RFC recently used EcoKids clothes recycling scheme and managed to collect 107 which resulted in them raising an amazing £340.80! Fantastic. Eager to share their story with us, they informed us that the money would be going into the Regeneration Pot.

The Regeneration Project is all about renovating the facilities at the club. Bracknell RFC is a community sports club which is run not for profit therefore do not have the ability to reinvest cash into these much needed renovations. So looking for fundraising for clubs was the way forward.

With the support of some internal fundraising and a combination of grants from Sport England, the Rugby Football Union and Bracknell Forest council some of the renovations have already been made possible including toilets and changing facilities.

This year the club has aims of improving the clubhouse, club hall, flood lighting and pitch drainage but for all this to happen; they will need to raise a minimum of £50,000!!

Speaking of the fundraising targets the club has, Samantha Jarvis, Marketing & PR Executive at EcoKids said:

‘Sports Clubs play a vital part in local communities, offering children and adults a place to play the sport they love, keep fit and socialise. Due to high running costs, a lot of clubs struggle to keep on top of renovations therefore EcoKids are delighted to be able tool for fundraising for clubs that can help them raise those much needed funds. ‘

EcoKids are very happy that we can help contribute to their fundraising target but with still a long way to go, Bracknell RFC has various fundraising activities on going. To find out how you could help, please visit
